Speakers at a "Spending Revolt" rally in La Crosse on Monday decried the national debt and said the country will pay the price for out-of-control spending.

"Spending Revolt" is a cross-country bus tour launched by the conservative Americans for Prosperity and a coalition of 60 organizations to promote fiscal conservatism.

Republican congressional candidate Dan Kapanke and La Crosse Mayor Matt Harter participated in the hour-long rally that featured Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher, better known as "Joe the Plumber."

"We have grassroots involvement like I've never seen before," Kapanke said. "This is my fourth race. I've never seen it better."

Attendees had the chance to sign the bus, where previous protesters had penned criticisms of the government's spending and attacks on President Obama.

Joe The Plumber

I wonder what Joe is up to now.

He recently lost a lawsuit about some government employees snooping in his records.

Twitter Contests Tweet and Win

http://tweetandwin.net
Tweet and win is a pretty fun site if you like twitter contests. It's also pretty cool if you are a business trying to promote your product, services or websites. The prizes are furnished by a sponsor and contestants tweet about them.

Each tweet is like a raffle. At the end of the contest a winner is randomly selected based on the amount of tweets or links clicked in the tweets.

I emailed the owner of the site and he's an extremely nice guy. He started the site because he likes contests and he has won a lot of stuff using Twitter in the past.

Joe The Plumber Pictures - He Wins Debate

Joe Wurzelbacher - Just call him Joe the plumber

Joe the Plumber had McCain's crack team of advisers tell his story. Now Joe the plumber is going to get a lot of business. Joe the plumber will forever go down in history as one of most famous plumbers in history.

Here's to you Joe the Plumber! LONG LIVE PLUMBERS CRACK

    Who is Joe the Plumber?

He's Joe Wurzelbacher, an Ohio man looking to buy a plumbing business who came to symbolize the middle class in Wednesday night's presidential debate between Barack Obama and John McCain.

Days earlier, Joe the Plumber had told Obama that the Democrat's tax plan would keep him from buying the business. McCain, the Republican candidate, cited Joe's exchange with Obama when he was asked about his tax plan and why it would be better for the country than Obama's.

Wurzelbacher was mentioned several times during the debate.

So what does he have to say about literally being at the center of the debate.

He says his name being mentioned in the campaign is "pretty surreal."
